Solvent Recovery System (SRS) : Adsorption type
The system is an environmentally -friendly and economic solvent recovery technology and it is based on the technology of Calgon Carbon company in U.S.A. The solvent will be recovered efficiently from a gas including the solvent by the cycle of adsorption and desorption.
Principle of Operation
- Discharged gas treatment from a process by Pre-conditioner. (Temperature and humidity should be adjusted for adsorption process.)
- Activated carbon adsorption of VOCs/ Discharge the cleaned air to Atm.
- Desorbing VOCs by low pressure/ Condensation in condenser
- Water Removal by decanter
Characteristics and Advantages
- This system is good when the solvent recovery is more economic than the combustion of the gas.
- If a harmful materials can be generated at the combustion process, air pollution control is to be installed but SRS system don’t ask any air pollution control.
- If O2 concentration in waste gas is low, Combustion of the gas is not possible but adsorption treatment by SRS is no problem.
Solvent Recovery Process (SRP) : Adsorption type
The water soluble VOCs gas from a process is absorbed at the sbsorber, and the gas purified by a distillation tower for the recovery of a high quality solvent.
Principle of Operation
- Absorption of VOCs by Absorber
- Down the concentration of exhausting VOCs by Scrubber
- Effective separation of solvent and Water by Stripping Tower
- Recovery of high purity solvent in Distillation Tower
